She also has a PhD in Medical Science and has developed children's programes in science centres such as Questacon in Australia, UK and New Zealand.
Robyn discovered yoga when she became ill with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and found yoga incredibly healing for the body and mind playing a key role in her recovery.
Robyn also has a great love of children, and is currently teaching yoga to toddlers through to preschoolers in childcare centres and community classes throughout Canberra

Why do I love teaching toddler's yoga?
Teaching yoga to toddlers is a joyful and wonderful challenge. Kids have so much fun at toddler's yoga and there are so many benefits – it’s more than an exercise or music class. We move the body in lots of different ways to help develop strength and co-ordination, but we are also moving in ways to subtly enhance and balance the brain/body connections that are developing so quickly at this age. Children are also encouraged to express themselves and to explore new ways of being, empowering their confidence. Most importantly, toddlers gradually learn how to calm and focus and to release stress (yes – toddlers can have stressed bodies and minds as well as adults!). They are absorbing skills that will support them as they venture out into life. Parents and carers can also pick up ideas that they can use with their children at home, so it becomes more than just a class you go to. Unlike adults, toddlers let you know exactly what they are feeling and where they are at. As a teacher you accept that as a gift and try to meet their needs.

Robyns focus is to make yoga fun and accessible to everyone, whatever your age or state of health. Robyn can be contacted on 0409932200 or dru.with.robyn@gmail.com
