Starting yoga at an early age gives children an opportunity to understand body awareness, develop higher self-esteem and combat stress before they meet the demands of teenage and adult life. When children learn techniques for self-health, relaxation, and inner fulfilment, they can navigate life's challenges with a little more ease- even joy! Physically, yoga enhances their flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. In addition, their concentration, and sense of calmness and relaxation improves. At soul Yoga we make the classes’ fun, dynamic and stimulating to the child’s imagination. We engage the children through exercise, play, animal adaptations, story and music. Through this exploration, the children develop a strong relationship with the natural world, and with the qualities and emotions within themselves. The class will run for 50 mins, plus10 mins for fruit/cookie time to allow kids to get to know their fellow yogini’s! There are currently no kids classes. Watch this space for further info for 2012! |
